July 2015 edition of Motor Boat & Yachting out now

The July 2015 edition of Motor Boat & Yachting is out today and includes tests of brand new boats from 29ft to 59ft

Summer is upon us and so is the July 2015 edition of Motor Boat & Yachting, which is available today in stores and online.

This month’s issue has a slightly Gallic theme to it, with sea trial reviews of the Jeanneau Leader 36 and the Monte Carlo 6.

The Leader packs some seriously clever accommodation space, while the MC6 has enough gadgets and glamour to mix it with the big boys of the flybridge market.

Closer to home, we’ve been out for a quick spin on the new Shearwater 890S from Bembridge Marine – a smooth riding and a practical RIB capable of delivering some serious thrills.

However, if your budget doesn’t stretch to the £90,000 that this new model costs, then take a look at Nick Burnham’s monthly buying challenge, in which he picks out four great value second-hand RIBs for less than half that sum.

At the other end of the scale, we hitch a ride on Eddie Jordan’s brand new Sunseeker 155 superyacht, as it makes its delivery voyage to the Mediterranean.

In other cruising tales, Fiona Walker’s Azimut 62 runs into trouble off the coast of Ithaca, and Mike Rothery explains how he fitted a hands-free communication system to his Princess 67.

We’ve also got a first-hand account of the day when Donald Campbell broke the water speed record on Australia’s Lake Dumbleyung.
