Leatherman Tread Tempo Watch

A multitool like no other. First came the Leatherman Tread – a wearable, rugged bracelet that incorporated 29 tools as standard including flat and Philips screwdrivers, hex drives, a bottle opener and a SIM card picker. Now comes the Tread Tempo; a durable wristwatch where the strap houses 30 tools as standard.

We hardly need to say it but being a Leatherman product the engineering is first rate and its clearly built to last. The Swiss-made timepiece is water resistant to 200m, features scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, precision Swiss made Ronda 715 movement, date and time functions with three luminescent hands. It’s made from highly corrosion resistant 17-4 stainless steel.

The tools built into the Tread Tempo’s bracelet include various box wrenches, screwdrivers, Torx drives and a strap cutter and the tools are interchangeable.

This watch takes utilitarian chic to the next level and brings out the boy scout in everyone – hence it catapulting onto the MBY Cool 50.

Leatherman Tread Tempo

Aside from being super cool, this wearable toolbox could come in handy when you’re in a fix. Afterall, with 30 tools to choose from it will probably have an answer for most tricky situations.

Improving on a seriously cool piece of kit, the new Tread Tempo looks better than the Tread – the addition of the watch face breaks up the chunky bracelet and looks the business. As there is no conventional knife you can fly without having to put it in your suitcase.

Much like its predecessor, the Tread Tempo comes in stainless steel and black. Leatherman provides a five-year battery warranty, two year warranty on the timepiece and 25-year warranty on the bracelet.

A time-telling toolkit that is a stylish take on wearable technology.
