This remote anchorage on the northeast side of St Mary’s is well sheltered from south through west to northwest and is an excellent retreat from strong southwesterlies, when St Mary’s Pool becomes unbearable and the nearby anchorage of Porth Cressa is unsafe.

And that’s not the only reason to visit, once here a beautiful sandy bay awaits you and, like many anchorages in the Isles of Scilly, it is devoid of crowds.
