These are the first official images of the new Sunseeker Portofino 40 revealed exclusively in the March issue of Motor Boat & Yachting magazine.
After months of hints, rumours and fevered speculation, Sunseeker has finally lifted the lid on its sensational new entry-level sportscruiser.
First deliveries of the boat start in August 2012 but these detailed computer renderings suggest it will be well worth the wait.
Large hull windows, overhead skylights and a relatively beamy design, should ensure unprecedented levels of light and space down below.
The layout includes a spacious cabin amidships with sliding berths, an owner's cabin forward, a single shared heads compartment and a comfortable galley and saloon.
Superyacht designer Ken Freivokh has also been drafted in to add a suitably upmarket touch to the fit and finish.
The cockpit is protected by a large electric sunroof and features four forward-facing helm seats, a U-shaped dinette and permanent sunpads fore and aft.
The standard engines are a pair of 320hp Yanmar sterndrives although Volvo options up to 400hp D6 are available.
Prices start from £358,800 inc UK VAT but include lots of standard equipment such as a generator, bowthruster, Raymarine nav gear and a teak cockpit, which are usually cost options.

Yawn. I wish someone would come up with something different in this catagory. The Sunseeker/Princess/blah design is getting tedious. And does anyone ever spend the night in a 40ft boat? Why cram in bedrooms?
