Azimut Magellano 43 to be launched at Cannes

The Magellano 43 will be the smallest boat in the Magellano range

The 2012 Cannes Boat Show will see the launch of the Azimut Magellano 43.

This is surely the most exciting model in the range to date, offering something really different in the 40-45ft flybridge market.

It is the first time that a Magellano model has been offered as both a flybridge and a hardtop. The hardtop version adds an even more purposeful stance to what is already a very safe, practical and seaworthy design.

The deep, well-protected sidedecks are a hallmark of the Magellano range and they have been carried over on to the 43, as has the flybridge with its useful overhang and smart central radar tower.

The galley is located aft and is therefore in the perfect position to serve the saloon, galley and flybridge. The design also incorporates plenty of glazing so natural light in the saloon is plentiful and the view from the lower helm is likely to be very good.

The boat can be had with either two or three cabins and, although details are thin on the ground, we imagine that the two cabin boat will a get a lower saloon in place of a sleeping area.

Power comes from twin 5.9-litre Cummins engines with either 305hp or 355hp giving a top speed of 18 knots or 21 knots respectively.

As mentioned above, the flybridge model will premier at Cannes with the hardtop making its debut at the Genoa Boat Show.
