The biggest and most eagerly anticipated boat ever built by Sunseeker has emerged from the Poole company’s sheds for the first time.

The massive tri-deck Sunseeker 155 Yacht made its way to the quay on the weekend, from where it will be launched into the water in early February.

This first 155 Yacht belongs to Formula 1’s Eddie Jordan, a repeat customer of Sunseeker’s, having previously owned a Sunseeker 37M Yacht.

Up to 12 guests can be accommodated in the superyacht’s almost 50-metre length, with space for ten crew in the lower forward deck area.

Not only is this 155 the largest boat yet from the UK’s biggest boatbuilder, it’s also the first semi-displacement, round-bilge boat boat for the yard.

This efficient hull shape gives the 155 a cruising range of 4,000 miles from its 60,000-litre fuel capacity and a maximum speed of 22 knots.

Sunseeker MD Stewart McIntyre said: “This is an extremely exciting time for Sunseeker as we inch ever closer to the completion of the 155 Yacht.

“This is the biggest project we have ever undertaken and since the announcement of its build it has been the talk of the industry.

“We are incredibly proud of what we have created and look forward to showcasing it to the world.”
