A 60m superyacht has sunk in Greece

Superyacht Yogi has sunk off Greek island Skyros a year after its launch

The Superyacht Yogi, which sunk earlier today 19nm from the Greek island Skyros was, according to reports on the Hellenic Coast Guard website, caused by a mechanical failure.  

Eight people were on board the 2011 vessel at the time of the sinking at 7:30 am this morning, but all were safely airlifted to the Skyros Health Centre by the Coast Guards helicopter.

It was reported by thecrewreport.com that Yogi had only returned from warranty work two days previously.

At 60.2m long, Yogi was available for charter at €378,000 a week in the high season, and featured six luxurious cabins and twin 1750hp Caterpillar engines.
