The Thames will be closed to all river traffic for a total of nearly six hours this weekend to allow the London Red Bull Air Race to take place. No craft, unless part of the official safety team, will be permitted to remain within the exclusion zones between West India Dock Entrance and Murphy’s Wharf whilst flying is taking place.

Qualifying rounds will take place on Saturday 2nd August, followed by a series of knock out heats on Sunday leading to a head-to-head final. River closures and opening times may be subject to change for operational reasons, and London VTS will broadcast details on VHF Channel 14.
