Alone in the Irish Sea: don’t miss the story in the November issue of MBY!

Andy Proudfoot was left praying for rescue when thrown from his RIB in the Irish Sea

On July 26, Andy Proudfoot set out from Milford Haven on a passage across the Irish Sea to Kilmore Quay in Ireland in his 5m Waverider RIB.

But once clear of the Cleddau Estuary and out in open water, Andy was thrown from his RIB, leaving him drifting alone, cold and unable to reach his boat.

With all immediate hopes of a rescue dashed when his shoulder-mount VHF was smashed in the fall, Andy was left praying all his rescue technology was working.

You can read the amazing account of the accident in Andy’s own words in the November issue of Motor Boat & Yachting, out this week.
