Axopar 37 to launch at Cannes Boat Show

The new flagship Axopar 37 will debut as Cannes and is likely to be at Southampton

The new flagship Axopar 37 will boast potent outboard power options and four different versions when it is presented to the world at the 2015 Cannes Boat Show.

Axopar also suggests that the boat will be at this year’s Southampton Boat Show, too.

With the recently launched 28 – look out for a mini test report on here at the end of next week – making waves (or slicing perfectly through them) the 37, with the same narrow beam on a far longer, twin-stepped, deep V hull, should make mincemeat of choppy conditions.

A selection of outboard engines provide plenty of grunt with the option to have a single 350hp, twin 225hp or twin 300hp setup – all Mercury Verados. The twin 300hp version will be good for 45 knots, according to Axopar.

The four different layout options are T-Top, Cabin T-Top, Cabin and Aft Cabin. The T-Top and Cabin T-Top models feature an open centre console arrangement plus an enormous dinette just aft of the helm to serve up to seven people. The aft area is left reasonably open for watersports prep and there is the option to have a wet-bar here.

On the Cabin T-Top version, the aft section is dominated by a large sunpad, beneath which is a double cabin supplementing the pair of berths in the cabin forward.

The wheelhouse-wearing Cabin and Aft Cabin versions have a purposeful enclosed saloon with sliding doors both sides, a retractable canvas roof and an L-shaped sofa that can seat five to six people in sheltered comfort – very much the all weather options.

Coming from the same man behind Paragon and XO, the Axopar has excellent pedigree in its make up but also represents impressive value for money, preliminary pricing for a 37 starting from €85,900 ex engine.
