The French manufacturer has released the first renders and details of the upcoming Bénéteau Gran Turismo 40

French motor boat giant Bénéteau has released the first details of its latest hard-top sportscruiser, the Bénéteau Gran Turismo 40.

Powered by Volvo Penta engines attached to sterdrives, the new arrival generates up to 370hp on each side for a top speed of up to 35 knots.

And the driving experience should be smooth and dry, thanks to Bénéteau’s latest generation Air Step planing hull.

Other key features include a 1.3m-deep hydraulically lowering bathing platform and a central helm station with space for three, which sits right on the centreline to optimise all-round visibility for the skipper.

The cockpit design includes a sliding hardtop, electric side windows and enough seating space for 12 people to relax in comfort.
