Beneteau unveils the Antares 8.80

The French boatbuilder reveals its 28ft entry-level cruiser at the Paris Boat Show

Beneteau has joined Sessa Marine in launching its own entry-level cruiser, the 28ft Antares 8.80, at the Paris Boat Show, which is taking place in Porte de Versailles until 12 December.

It’s the first Beneteau boat to feature the air-step hull, which is said to improve stability and reduce fuel consumption, and it has a maximum speed of 30 knots with either a single 250hp engine or two 150hp engines.

The main cabin has a good size double bed (1.98m x 1.50m) with a separate bathroom and the second cabin has a decent berth too (140cm).

The Antares 8.80 also boasts some nice design features, including two sunroofs with sliding panels, a sunpad and adjustable cockpit seating available as added extras.
