This week we look at the world's biggest boat show
Fort Lauderdale claims to be the biggest boat show in the world, but then so does Dusseldorf. What is certain is that Lauderdale is the biggest and most spectacular on water show out there, with a vast range of craft including an entire fleet of superyachts.
With the great and the good from the boatbuilding world packed into Fort Lauderdale, this year’s show has taken on some unwanted spice with Hurricane Sandy bearing down on it. With winds of 80 knots hitting the Florida coast, it was feared that the show would have to be curtailed but organisers are confident all will be well.
