British team confident of success

Britain's Chris Parsonage looks forward to coming season with condidence

Negotiator will be the only outfit lining-up in Doha for the open round of the Class I offshore championship on March 1 with an unchanged set-up. British team owner-throttleman, Chris Parsonage, has confirmed he will be racing alongside 2005 World Champion, Bard Eker, and remain loyal to his Sterling supercharged V8 units.

“Our crew is currently in Dubai getting the boat ready so we can test immediately we arrive in Doha,” said Parsonage. “We are making one or two modifications to the front end and there is some work to be carried out to repair the damage we sustained in the 140mph spin during the last race in Dubai.”

The team’s development of the Sterling engines paid dividends towards the latter stages of 2007, giving them podium finishes in Qatar and Dubai. With the team ending the season sixth overall on the points table and fourth in the Middle East Championship, Parsonage is confident the team can build on this success and mount a serious title challenge in the coming season.
