Broads Authority launches free Norfolk boating app

The free boating app is available on iOS and Android, and aims to make planning a Norfolk boating holiday easier

Boat owners heading out on the Norfolk Broads this summer can take advantage of a new boating app that has been launched by the Broads Authority.

Released last week (21 May) to celebrate the authority’s 25th anniversary, ‘Enjoy the Broads’ condenses all the useful information from enjoythebroads.com so boat owners can access it offline.

Key features include suggested mooring points, recommended pubs and restaurants, upcoming events, and many other facilities such as canoe hire.

Compiled by Rough Guides co-founder Martin Dunford and Richard Hammond, Chief Executive of Greentraveller, the free app is compatible with both iOS and Android devices.

Bruce Hanson, Tourism Officer for the Broads Authority, said: “The new app is a fantastic way to discover all there is to do in the Broads whilst you’re out and about boating or walking.”
