Classic superyacht Maha gutted by fire in Turkey

TSDY Maha was undergoing a refit when the blaze took hold at the yard near Bodrum

A classic superyacht has been gutted by fire while undergoing a major restoration in Turkey.

The 140ft TSDY Maha was being restored at a yard near Bodrum when the blaze took hold.

She was spotted smoking by Chris Sheldrake of Drake Marine International, who took these photos.

“In a very short time the whole interior was ablaze and I’m sorry to say that, while the steel hull may have escaped serious damage, the fire spread to the entire interior of the of the vessel before any attempt could be made to extinguish the flames,” he told MBY.
