Coronet makes comeback with new 290 Sport

Boat to be unveiled at Copenhagen Boat Show in February next year

This is the Coronet 290 Sport, and is the first in a series of boats to be made under the famous Coronet badge.

It’s manufacturer, Coronet Yachts of Denmark, owns all the rights to the famous boats, and plans to exhibit this one for the first time at the Copenhagen International Boat Show in February next year.

“The boat is a brand-new construction based on the well-known and unique Coronet design”, said the company’s MD Jonas Pedersen.

“With this boat’s classic lines and very high quality, we want to show that we can bring new and modern boats onto the market that at the same time show a great respect for the classic Coronet boats’ basic virtues.”

The new boat’s largest engine option will be twin 190hp diesels, for a top speed of around 50 knots. The standard installation is twin 160s. Petrol engine versions will also be available, the company said.
