Fairline takes to the fairways

Port Fairline Spain, the Mallorca-based Fairline main dealer, is staging its third annual charity golf tournament this weekend

Port Fairline Spain, the Mallorca-based Fairline main dealer, is staging its third annual charity golf tournament this weekend. Saturday, 6 October, sees 14 teams of Fairline owners, dealers, friends and sponsors teeing off, starting – for reasons which no doubt make perfect sense – at precisely 09.44.

Being Fairline people and therefore totally unused to slumming it, the participants will be pursued down the fairways by ‘hospitality buggies’ stocked by Restaurant S’Ancora.

The tournament is followed by a gala charity dinner and prizegiving, preceded by a champagne reception in the evening. A post-dinner auction is intended to raise at least ‘5000, and hopefully much more, for the local special needs school in Cala d’Or.

The event is sponsored by a variety of organisations, including Fairline Boats, Bank of Scotland, Peters plc, Squadron Yachts, Port Fairline Pollensa, Serigrafía PZ, Tapicerias Formax, Banco Credito Balear, Raymarine, Heirlooms, Globalstand, Global Healthcare, Motor Boat and Yachting, Restaurante S’Ancora, Volvo UK, Barry Sign Centre, and Onward Trading.

Represented on the course by editorial staffer Sue Goddard, MBY’s donation for the auction is a signed Greg Norman cap.
