Glitzy Ferretti bash to mark 40 years

Italian snappers wonder who he is

Ferretti know how to throw a party, and as part of a year of celebrations marking their 40th birthday, invited 1,000 guests to the opera in Milan.

MBY was among those in the audience, with production editor Paul Ashton donning his Sunday Best for the evening.

The private concert took place at Milan’s famous Teatro alla Scala, with a full orchestra accompanying opera singers on stage.

The evening was billed as ’40 years of love for the sea celebrated by two centuries of musical excellence’.

Ferretti say: “Through the music of the Philharmonic Orchestra of La Scala, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel, chairman Norberto Ferretti, along with friends and collaborators, was offered a depiction of his intimate dialogue with the sea, the special relationship that has allowed the yard to blend form and function in the construction of unique crafts.
