Poole Quay Boat Haven and Port of Poole Marina received Gold Anchor Award
The prestige top award of Five Gold Anchors was awarded to two marinas in Poole, the Poole Quay in recognition of quality and service.
In 2011 just 70 marinas were awarded Gold Anchors, ranging from one to five based on a number of requirements. The Yacht Harbour Association, the organisation behind the scheme, which is comparable to hotel stars, rate marinas on a number of criteria, from facilities to results in a mystery shopper and a berth holder questionnaire.
John Binder, manager of both marinas, said, “Port of Poole Marina is brand new so it’s wonderful to know we’re already making the right impression.”
