Watch the Haines 400 in the latest video seatrial from Motor Boats Monthly
The last few years have seen a fair thinning out of aft-cabin models. First the Dutch builders of Atlantic shuffled off and more recently Broom has toned down its manufacturing down.
Fortunately Haines, another well regarded Norfolk yard, has stepped into the breach with this handsome looking 40-footer.
Previously, Haines’s largest model had been a very tidy 35, but gearing up to a 40 involves more than simply giving everywhere a bit more room; cruising folk buying into this market expect an edge in terms of sophistication.
