Jersey Boat Show in six weeks

Organisers say that the Jersey Boat Show is a virtual sell out

In less than six weeks, the Channel Islands will host its largest free-entry event, the 2014 Barclays Jersey Boat Show. Alongside the 65 boats in and around the St Helier Marina will be more than 60 land exhibitors. The show runs during the May Bank Holiday, from Saturday 3 May until Monday 5 May.

Show organisers are saying that it is a virtual sell out, having attracted the largest number of exhibitors since the start of the show in 2008, both on and off the water.
The list of boat builders includes Sunseeker, Fairline, Beneteau, Jeanneau, Bavaria, Bayliner, Sessa, Duchy, Broom and Galleon.
The Royal Navy will again be at the show, with a range of activities and demonstrations.

Myra Shacklady, Group Commercial Director for Ports of Jersey said: “Not only does the show attract more than 30,000 people over three days, it remains a vital showcase for our local maritime industry, an integral part of the Island’s tourism.”
