The action kicks off at 11.30am on Saturday 28 May, when 16 150hp craft capable of 55mph will cross the start line off the North Ayrshire town.

The 225hp fleet, which can hit 70mph at top speed, will cross the start line at 1.30pm. The racing continues on Sunday 29 May, with the 150hp class set to race at 11.45am.

Series champion Steve Curtis said: “There is always a sense of unpredictability at the opening rounds of the championships but with the shake up of the fleets I think we can expect some extraordinary racing as competitors old and new try to make their initial mark.”
