Last chance to get tickets for our readers’ sea trial day

Sign up to our readers' sea trial event and get behind the wheel of some the year's best boats

There are only two weekends left until our readers’ sea trial event, where we give you the chance to get behind the wheel of some of the coolest boats of the year.

From the awesome Antyec 747 and Cormate T27 to the award-winning Sealine C330 and English Harbour Yachts 29, this is a once in a lifetime chance to sea trial these amazing craft back to back. We have recently added the Broom 370 and Shearwater 890 to the list as well.

Flick through the gallery at the top of the page to see some of the boats that will be at the event.

This exclusive MBY event is taking place at Haslar Marina in Portsmouth on Saturday, July 2. Just 50 spaces are available with tickets costing £30 per person. The tickets include refreshments courtesy of Dean and Reddyhoff Marinas.

The full list of boats includes the Anytec 747, Windy 29 Coho, XO, Botnia Targa 30, Axopar, Cormate T27, Nimbus 305 Coupé, English Harbour Yachts 29 Offshore and Sealine C330.

Jack Haines and Hugo Andreae will be on hand to help you get the most from your day as well as
representatives from the boat dealers, who will accompany you on board their craft for the sea trials.

This event is being run for the benefit of current and future boat buyers and priority will be given to readers who are actively in the market for a new boat.

However, dealers understand that buyers take time to make up their mind and this event is about demonstrating what makes their craft special to committed MBY readers and potential owners.

We know of at least two people who went on to buy one of the boats they sea-trialled at last year’s event and this year we expect to increase that hit rate thanks to an even more convenient location and a broader mix of boats that includes family cruisers, high speed sportsboats and rugged all-rounders.

We don’t know of any other way you can drive up to five different craft in the same sea conditions on the same day so if you are in the market for a new boat, this is a unique opportunity to experience a number of exceptional models from around the world.

All applicants wishing to drive the boats must be over the age of 18 with a maximum of three tickets per application (ticket holders under the age of 18 may attend as passengers) and skippers will have the last word on whether you are safe to drive.

If you would like to take part send an email with the words ‘Reader Sea Trial Event’ in the subject line to mby@timeinc.com and include the following:
● Your full name
● Your date of birth
● Make and model of your boat (if you have one)
● Your boat handling experience
● When you intend to buy your next craft
● Your postal address
● Your mobile telephone number

The day will be split into a morning and an afternoon session of 25 people each so please state if you have a preference. Successful applicants will be notified and payment requested by June 20.
