Lifeboat Tea aims high for the RNLI

The RNLI is hoping tea-lovers everywhere will raise a cup and help it raise funds by buying the newly branded Lifeboat Tea

The RNLI is hoping to raise an astonishing £200k every year through sales of Lifeboat Tea.

Produced by Williamson Tea, a family-owned business with over 140 years of tea expertise, Lifeboat Tea has a long-standing association with the RNLI. Lifeboat Tea was initially set up in gratitude to the RNLI workers who helped rescue people from the tragic Fastnet race in 1979.

Phillip Magor, tea managing director at Williamson Tea, said, “We’ve been associated with the RNLI for the past twenty years and have raised well over £100k for the charity to date. Now we’re looking to double this figure annually with the re-launch of Lifeboat Tea, so that the RNLI can continue in its invaluable and voluntary service of saving lives at sea.”

Lifeboat Tea is Fairtrade certified and 7p from each packet sold will go directly to the RNLI. It can be bought from Waitrose stores nationwide.
