London Boat Show reports first weekend boost

The 2015 CWM FX London Boat Show has got off to a strong start, with a 6% rise in visitors reported

The London Boat Show is on course for a bumper year in 2015, after organisers reported a 6% increase in visitors for the opening three days (10-12 January).

The return of a press preview day on Friday (9 January) also helped to boost attendance, which is currently up 25% when the extra day is included.

Star appearances over the weekend included former X-Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger (pictured above), who opened the new Sunseeker Predator 57, Arsenal footballer Theo Walcott, and rock band Kasabian who mingled with the crowds on the opening day.

Show organisers National Boat Shows told MBY: “Importantly, we are hearing reports of good sales from many exhibitors.”

New attractions this year included an interactive wall of rain at the entrance and a 4D experience theatre.
