Aquastar anchored off Eastborne catches fire
A man has been rescued from his boat after a fire broke out onboard whilst anchored off Eastbourne.
The man, who is in his 60s, alerted authorities by launching two distress flares at 10:30 on Tuesday 18 December. He had anchored his Aquastar Pacesetter 27 near the shore whilst he fished.
RNLI crews rescued him from the burning boat and then took him to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
