Plenty of deals as marinas feel the pinch

As the credit crunch tightens it’s grip deals are revealed by MDL Marinas, Premier Marinas and Southampton Dry Stack.

Premier Marinas have sent out a press release revealing that they have berths going begging in two of their Solent based marinas and MDL have announced the latest range of benefits for their annual berth holders in the 2009 Club Outlook program.

This includes berth holders being able to pay for fuel at ‘cost prices’ as well as getting twice the number of free nights in other MDL run marinas as last year (30 in total) plus 50% off boat yard services, an increase of 40% on 2008.

Jon Eads managing director of MDL says: “In response to the challenging climate, we have significantly enhanced our product offering and this initiative is intended to help Club Outlook members continue to enjoy their leisure past time.”

Premier say they have 8, 10, 12 and 14m berths free at both Port Solent and Chichester marinas and are also offering fuel at ‘cost price’ to berth holders. Their Premier Advantage scheme includes 12 free visitor nights at other Premier Marinas, storage ashore, SeaStart benefits, discounted boat yard services and insurance.

In an effort to tempt customers Southampton Dry Stack have also slashed £500 off their prices and offer unlimited launch and recovery between May and September as well as free winterising.
