MBE for Curtis

Steve Curtis has been awarded the MBE in the Queen's Birthday honours list.

British world Class I (16 litre) offshore powerboat champion, Steve Curtis, 42, has been awarded the MBE in the Queen’s Birthday honours list.
Curtis, son of Clive Curtis founder of Cougar Marine and joint designer of the world’s first successful offshore multihull, began powerboating in his teens and was the first British driver to win the coveted World Offshore Championship in the United States at the age of 22. He has since won the title no less that six times and on current form looks set to win his eighth this season.
While similar awards have gone to those in the world of waterskiing Steve Curtis becomes the first to be honoured for powerboat racing
