MBY Allam Marine moves further ahead in race to be crowned Powerboat P1 champions

The Motor Boat & Yachting-sponsored entry in this year’s Powerboat P1 SuperStock series, MBY Allam Marine, extended its lead at the top of the championship on the weekend after two commanding victories in Plymouth Sound.

Our boat, crewed by Americans Andy Biddle and Tracy Blumenstein, won the only two races of the weekend, with the third being cancelled after the Pertemps team were thrown from their boat when it high-sided in a turn.

Both those on board, John Wilson and Daisy Coleman, were quickly recovered uninjured from the water following the accident.

The win in Plymouth puts clear water between MBY Allam Marine and the rest of the field, with the MBY-sponsored entry sitting pretty on 77 points and the next team, Oval, on 60 points.

The next chance to catch the Powerboat P1 series will be in Torquay on August 10-11, where we’ll be hoping MBY Allam Marine can maintain its winning ways and secure the championship.
