New Botnia Targa 30 to arrive in the UK in May

The Botnia Targa 30 is the first new model from the Finnish yard in four years

UK dealer Wessex Marine will have the first Botnia Targa 30 out of the factory at their base in Poole in May.

The 30, which is the first new model from Botnia in four years, will slot in between the 27.1 and 32 and offer for the first time on such a small model the larger twin cabin layout.

The design doesn’t stray a jot from what the Targa range is best known for, delivering year-round usability and safe, practical decks.

Unmistakably a Targa

Inside, the layout below decks is similar to that of the 32 with a separate forward cabin with twin berths and a master cabin located aft that includes a large double plus a pipe berth and an ensuite toilet/shower room.

It’s safe to say that the 30 will be a monster out on the water not only in terms of its seakeeping ability but also performance. The largest twin Volvo Penta D4 300hp motors will reportedly push the 30 past 40 knots flat out.

There are a variety of engine options up to twin 400hp Volvos

There are smaller engine options – as well single motor installations – available so you can tweak the power train to suit your cruising style.

Introductory prices start from £174,000 inc UK VAT (single Volvo Penta D6 330hp) but you’ll have to be quick to snap one up as the first year’s production is already sold.
