New high-speed special forces’ boats

New high-speed boats are reported to be running trials with Britain's special forces.

New high-speed boats are reported to be running trials with Britain’s special forces. They are around 20m in length, with stealth features to make them less visible on radar, and are thought to be capable of maintaining speeds of nearly 50 knots even in moderate sea states.

Their range is understood to be more than 600 nautical miles. The boats, which are believed to have been built by VT Halmatic at Portchester, are likely to be operated by the Royal Marines’ Special Boat Service (SBS).
