Europe’s leading event to be supported by on-shore family entertainment
Organisers of The Round Britain Land, Sea and Air Race 2010 have announced a raft of entertainment to coincide with the event over the August Bank Holiday.
The Festival – one of the most keenly contested competitions in the world of powerboat racing – is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its headline event, the Cowes Torquay Cowes. For the attending public and international race boat crews, Cowes Yacht Haven will be a hub of activity throughout a week of powerboating.
Street entertainment, live music, a food court, stalls and displays will provide an exciting array of off-water highlights for the public culminating in spectacular Red Arrows fly-overs on Thursday 26, Friday 27 and Sunday 29 – the day of the Cowes Torquay Cowes race.
Red Jet high speed ferries are supporting the event with special family tickets available at £26 for adult and child groups of up to four.
Director of RB12.com Hugo Ambrose says: “It is our aim to bring even more entertainment to the British Powerboat Festival and to make it a must-visit Bank Holiday attraction. It is already a major sporting event and we believe this year’s additions will make it bigger and even better.”
