Norway man ‘forgets’ about his boat

Norwegian police use facebook to find boat owner after two years

A man has come forward to claim his boat after Norweigan police made an appeal to find him on facebook. The Rinker 342 Fiesta Vee was moored in Fort Washington in the Strömstad area of Sweden since 2012 reportedly without being moved or berthing fees paid.
Police searched the boat in an attempt to trace the owner, but without any luck they launched an appeal to find him by social media.
On 26 March a man came forward claiming that it was his boat, but he had thought that it was sold two years ago and had since forgotten about the £65,000 American sportscruiser.
