The Scottish marina is being sold after its owner, Shawhead Developments, went into administration

Oban Marina has been put up for sale after Shawhead Developments, its sole shareholder, went into administration.

The marina, located on the Isle of Kerrera, includes berths for 145 boats, 115 fully-serviced floating pontoon berths, and 33 moorings, all accessible at all states of the tide, as well as a 30-metre fuel berth.

Shoreside facilities include shower rooms and laundry, a slipway, a boat hoist capable of lifting up to 50 tonnes, and extended winter storage.

“The economic climate and difficult trading conditions have significantly affected the business and led to it falling into administration,” said a spokesperson for administrators BDO.

“However, we are hopeful of securing a sale,” he added, “and the company will continue to trade whilst this is explored.”
