Breakdown service when you buy new or used

South coast-based dealership Oceanique are the latest to offer their customers ShoreGuard’s Assist and Recovery membership.

The deal is availble on all used and new boat sales.

Oceanique, which represents Gobbi, Atlantis, Regal, Quicksilver and Kral Boats, is including a free ShoreGuard Assist and Recovery membership in all boat purchases, giving customers peace of mind when out on the water.

ShoreGuard’s Assist and Recovery membership works in a similar way to car breakdown membership. Offering access to an emergency hotline and engineer call-out, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, members have the security of comprehensive assistance should they encounter a mechanical problem while out at sea.

If emergency repairs are not possible their boat will be recovered to the nearest appropriate repair facility. Where needed, the boat can be repatriated back to the home port if a passage is interrupted by mechanical failure which cannot be remedied locally. A 24 hour UK based customer centre provides expert assistance from qualified skippers seven days a week, anywhere in the UK and Europe.

Oceanique’s customers will also have the opportunity to upgrade to ShoreGuard’s Marine Warranty membership, which provides comprehensive cover for engine and associated equipment on boats up to 12 years old or 750 hours of usage. This is aimed at previously-owned boats with expired warranty and can be transferred to a new owner if the craft is sold.
