Paris Boat Show enjoys massive sales jump

As we wait for ExCel's doors to open, some encouraging news from across the Channel

French builders, Jeanneau and Bénéteau have apparently enjoyed unprecedented success at the recent Paris Boat Show. Jeanneau has reported over 320 contracts signed, with 80% of the orders for motorboats. Many of the sales were made on smaller outboard boats, but even so these results are quite exceptional. The Leader, Merry Fisher and NC ranges all enjoyed success with the new NC9 doing well.

Similarly we understand that Bénéteau secured some 200 orders on new sail and power boat orders.

Jeanneau’s communication director, Roland Fardeau, told MBM that the build up to the show had been quiet, giving no clue as to the near frenzy of business that was to follow.
