Powerboat Ball to raise funds

Sport to hold its first major celebration for over a decade

The British Powerboat Racing Club together with Round Britain organiser, Mike Lloyd, is to hold a Powerboat Ball on the 25th April at Belmore Park, Hampshire, courtesy of three time Round Britain competitor, John Caulcutt.

A Powerboat Ball of this level hasn’t been seen on the British racing scene for many years and plans are in hand to make it a spectacular occasion with top class food, wine and dancing to a leading a Rock & Roll band.

Two special attractions will be an auction plus a silent auction for a number of very special surprise items aimed to raise funds for the forthcoming offshore season.

With sponsorship dire at the present time the ball and its associated activities is aimed to generate sufficient funds to assist the BPRC to stage the inaugural Poole Cherbourg Poole race in May and the Cowes Powerboat Festival in August.

Further details of the programme can be obtained from the BPRC secretary at www.bpbrc.co.uk
