Prime piece of River Hamble real estate for sale

Stone Pier Boatyard near the mouth of the river has a guide price of £3 million

A prime piece of River Hamble real estate has just come on the market with a guide price of £3 million.

Stone Pier Boatyard in Warsash, near to the mouth of the popular boating river, has pontoon space for 56 boats and around 4.38 acres of land ashore.

Chris Gooch from agents Strutt & Parker said: “This is a rare opportunity to buy a prime site on the Hamble with exciting potential as a showcase site for a yacht broker/builder, for dry stacking or for upgrading and expansion of the marina facilities”.

The marina is operated on the current owner’s behalf by Warsash Marine under a management agreement set to expire in 2016.

According to a website set up by Strutt & Parker to facilitate the sale, the boatyard had an income last year of £215,343.

Offers are being invited for the leasehold property, business and equipment. The property is held as the sole asset of Victoria Rampart Ltd, and the seller wants to transfer the whole share capital of the company to a new owner.
