RYA names new chief executive

Sarah Treseder comes from a private events company, and is a lifelong sailor

The RYA has named Sarah Treseder as its new chief executive. She will take over from current CEO Rod Carr in February next year.

Treseder comes from private events company The Admirable Crichton, and has a boating background, having sailed in the south west, France, the Channel Island and further a field.

Currently, she owns a Sigma 33 yacht, which she sails on the south coast.

Richard Langford, RYA chairman, said: “Finding someone to fill Rod’s shoes was obviously quite a challenge for us. However, Sarah’s excellent management experience and leadership skills combined with her own personal recreational boating will be a true asset to the RYA, its members and the boating community as a whole.”
