Superyacht Hotel to open in London’s Docklands

Sunborn London berthed at Victoria Docks

Here is something to float the boat of people who like to do things a little differently – a superyacht hotel in the heart of London’s Docklands.

The 120m (393ft) superyacht Sunborn London travelled up the Thames to its destination berth in the East End of the UK’s capital earlier this week. It has joined a fleet of other Sunborn floating hotels, including those located in Barcelona and Gibraltar. The company says the concept is to provide superyacht luxury that is modern.

Sunborn London has 138 bedrooms over five floors, with a restaurant, bar, gym, conference rooms and outside decks facing the City.

The yacht was purpose built in Holland and towed over to the UK.

The hotel will be focused on people visiting Canary Wharf and the City. It is also conveniently placed near the Excel exhibition centre for those considering attending the London Boat Show next year.

Rooms start at £250 a night.
