Top-level luxury and long-distance cruising from this fully customisable steel boat

Pros and Cons
For: Totally bespoke interior, quality fit-out, massive flybridge, huge lazaratte
Against: Marred visibility from inside help, strong euro

Aquanaut have mixed top-level luxury with long-distance cruising practicality on a roomy but surprisingly sleek design, along with some lovely touches that will make using this boat a joy.

The Global Voyager is a limited-edition RCD Category A model, bespoke-built for customers who want to go trans-ocean in style. Cue large tank capacities, hydraulic stabilisers and either single or twin Perkins engines.

The flybridge has a high spray screen, sink with drinking water and a simple but safe, wind-free and private floor-level sunlounger.

Aquanaut have installed a swivelling passenger seat up at the dashboard that initially looks quite clumsy, but in fact really makes the link between helmsman and passengers.

With bow and stern thrusters, getting in and out of berths is no problem, and once out in open water the Perkins engines were steady through the revs up to a maximum of 2,250hp and about 10 knots.

The big thing, though, is the level of customisation available. The only room you can't fiddle with is the engineroom - apart from that, you're given more or less free rein to design your own boat.
