Sturdy passage maker meets European stlying

We at MBY are massive fans of the Nordhavn range, what's not to love about a range of boats that gives to the average boater the freedom to roam the oceans usually reserved for cargo ships and the Royal Navy? With some softer stlying and seriously luxurious extras this might be the gem of the Nordhavn range.

Styled to echo the looks of European trawler-style yachts, the new design encompasses softer lines, replacing the towering bridge that adorns most of the boats in their range, with a more traditional trawler style, a covered aft cockpit and vast flybridge.
The big thing about the 78 is that is seems to focus equally on time spent stationary as it does on time spent ploughing across the globe's oceans.

The flybridge, for example, has a Jacuzzi fitted as well as a comprehensively specified wet bar and barbecue. The designers have consciously made the effort to make the bow area in to what they call a 'chilling space', again playing to the European theme where you are likely to be moored stern to, gaining extra privacy from being at the front of the boat, away from prying eyes on the quayside.

Have no illusions that this boat is a soft bay dweller though, it is still built to take anything the sea can throw at it and with that enormous flared bow and a 3000 mile range, could it be that this is the most rounded Nordhavn to date?
