Bayliner Ciera 2858

Probably the cheapest flybridge cruiser that you can buy

Bayliner’s small-to-medium motor cruiser series extends from 22 to 33ft (6.7-10.1m) and is called the Ciera.

The Ciera 2858 is nominally a 28ft (8.5m) boat, although its moulded in bow platform takes the centreline length to 30ft 6in (9.3m).

The command bridge model is probably the smallest flybridge cruiser available.

There is a good reason for the sub-30ft hulls not having flybridges – the shorter the boat, the relatively greater becomes the effect of top hamper.

But the hull design and construction of the 2858 are sound enough to carry the extra weight.

A 2001 model 2858 starts from £61,295 with petrol outdrive and including VAT; four or five-year-old models should fetch around £45,000.
