In the third part of his Irish sea adventure, John takes his Sealine S34 to the Isle of Man for the Manx TT road race

It’s not often that motorcycles and motorboats overlap, but in the latest video installment of John Boyle’s cruising series Celtic Crusade, they do just that.

John sets off from Holyhead in his Sealine S34, with the aim of seeing some Manx TT action as part of his long journey north to the Outer Hebrides.

After mooring up on the breakwater just off Peel harbour, John and his camerman Fionn head inland to get as close as they can to the motorcycle road racing action.

The pair also spot a mysterious castle perched on an outcrop on the coast of the Isle of Man’s Bradda Head.

As if that wasn’t enough for one day, they still have enough time to cross over to Bangor on the Northern Ireland coast. However, the crossing isn’t without its fair share of mechanical difficulties.

The next chapter of John’s Irish sea adventure will be published in the August edition of MBM (out Thursday 19 July). In the meantime, to watch the third instalment of John’s cruising odyssey, watch the video above.
