Greenline 45 Fly: Options abound on wonderfully decadent yacht

There is so much going on in the Greenline 45 Fly’s engineroom that it’s easy to be distracted from the boat itself.

With shaftdrive, IPS and hybrid electric propulsion options, performance stretches from an all-electric 6 knots to over 30 knots with 440hp IPS600s but there’s a lot to appreciate away from the machinery too.

It’s a handsome thing for a start but its attractive lines are draped over a practical main deck with wide, well protected side decks that make it feel very safe to move around on.

Because there needs to be space for the solar panels atop the wheelhouse, the flybridge isn’t huge but it still manages to squeeze in a wetbar between the sunpad and dinette.

Inside, the look and feel is so much better than Greenlines of old with some much-needed flair added by Too Design’s Marco Casali. The lovely weathered timber on the saloon tabletop is an example of the sort of decorative attention afforded to this latest generation of Greenline.

The ability to fit three cabins into this sub-50ft cruiser is a major advantage but the option that replaces it with walk-in wardrobes for the master suite and VIP cabins feels wonderfully decadent. Greenline appears to be on a roll at the moment.
