Pardo Endurance 60 yacht tour: Access all areas of Pardo’s €1.4m flagship

At the 2021 Cannes Yachting Festival, MBY deputy editor Jack Haines took the chance to tour the Pardo Endurance 60, which was making its global debut.

Back in 2018 Pardo set out its stall for the first time at the Cannes Yachting Festival, but since then it has produced three very impressive open models and arrived at the 2021 show with a fully enclosed flagship.

It appears at this size customers are looking for more usability than a fully open boat can provide so the Pardo Endurance 60 is here to offer year-round cruising comfort in effortless Italian style.

It is a boat with immediate presence thanks to the reverse sheer bow – a trait shared with its smaller siblings – and the striking forward rake on the windscreen.

Cleverly, despite having a fully enclosed wheelhouse and a flybridge which can be specced as just a sunbathing space or more usefully with a second helm station, it still has a walkaround deck with tall bulwarks that negate the need for guardrails.

Enclosed the saloon may be but with balconies on either side of a cockpit with a retractable sun shade above and drop-down windows on either side of the aft-positioned galley, the Pardo Endurance 60 unfurls to become a tasty place to relax once the anchor is deployed and the engines silenced.

Talking of engines, your only choice are IPS here, with either 700hp or 800hp. Top speed is a lazy 25 knots but Pardo is quite up front about the fact that the Endurance 60 is for quiet, efficient cruising and not setting water speed records.

At 30 tonnes and with 2,500 litres of diesel on board it should romp along very happily at 20 knots; drop the speed to 10 knots and it will sip 40 litres per hour for a range of 700 miles.

The interior appears to be beautifully crafted and with three cabins, three bathrooms and a double crew cabin arranged on the lower deck there is room for extended cruises with family and friends.

Update: The Pardo Endurance 60 will be getting its UK debut at the 2023 Southampton Boat Show.
