Sunseeker Manhattan 52 to launch this summer

The Sunseeker Manhattan 52 will be the smallest flybridge that Sunseeker has built for ten years when it launches later this year

The Sunseeker Manhattan 52 will be the smallest flybridge model launched by the Poole yard for over a decade when it makes its world premier at the 2016 Cannes Yachting Festival.

This fresh design will set the tone for a raft of new Manhattan models set to be released over the next few years with masses of glazing in the superstructure and topsides.

The outdoor living spaces look particularly impressive, especially the dining area on the foredeck – unique to the class – and the expansive flybridge, which extends well aft over the cockpit leaving space for two spacious seating areas.

There are plenty of tricks aft, too, where the hydraulic bathing platform is bolstered by a pop-up shower, bench and optional grill that allows you to cook at the waterline.

The aft galley layout combined with a top-hinged door means this area can be used as bar to serve the cockpit, too.

Below decks there are three cabins with a master amidships that Sunseeker claims has standing headroom all the way around the double berth.

In the engineroom you can have either a pair of Volvo Penta D11 725hp motors on shafts or pod drives with IPS950. The yard claims that the boat will cruise comfortably at 24 knots with a 250-mile range and will top 33 knots at full throttle.

Sunseeker M52Sales director Sean Robinson says: “We’re really looking forward to launching the new Manhattan 52 later this year.

“Following on from three much larger models being launched this spring, this flybridge option makes an important statement about Sunseeker’s plans for the future.

“It underlines our ability to keep giving our customers the best in class across every segment we operate in.”
