John Boyle takes to the little known hideaways of the Cornish Riviera on his Princess V39 and delves into the nooks and crannies of the place he calls home

Cornwall is one of Europe’s finest cruising destinations and also plays home to intrepid film maker and keen boater John Boyle.

John has featured in MBY and on the website before, detailing his epic cruises both on his Sealine S34 and his most recent purchase, a Princess V39, which he delivered from Mallorca back to Falmouth himself.

His latest adventure, though, is closer to home and sees him exploring the hidden secrets of the fabulous Cornish coastline.

He begins with the unique charm of Coverack & Dean Quarry, moving on to the miniscule fishing harbour of Mullion and the often storm-ravaged Porthleven.

The notorious former smuggler and wrecking spot of Prussia Cove provides welcome sanctuary from the swell whilst the fishing hotspot of Newlyn is one of Cornwall’s most authentic harbours.

Finally, a stop in Lamorna for a strole up to the fabulously named Lamorna Wink pub is the perfect way to round of a magical trip.
