Replacing the 72, the new Princess 75 Motor Yacht boasts a separate access master cabin, stunning main deck and a real turn of pace

Replacing the 72 was always going to be tricky but in the Princess 75 Motor Yacht, the Plymouth yard has created a more than worthy successor.

With a modified version of the Olesinski deep-vee hull and a pair of 1,800hp MAN V12s performance on test was impressive, topping out at 36 knots.

On board, there is separate access to a spacious master ensuite and three guest cabins forward, including a lovely VIP ensuite forward.

The main deck is wonderful. It has a totally flat floor from transom to companionway and enormous panels of glass either side to fire light in and create a bright and wonderfully spacious living space.

The midships galley works really well in this environment, opposite a dining table that nestles up next to a floor-to-ceiling window.

One major change over the 72 is the size of the flybridge, which extends right over the cockpit leaving space aft for either tender storage or open space for free-standing sun beds.

Forward, a foredeck seating area and sunpads with flip-up backrests deliver an extra socialising space and some extra storage for fenders and lines.
